Project Background

A grain storage enterprise owns 6 continuous drying towers; the drying medium temperature is about 120°C, and the high-temperature exhaust was previously discharged directly.

Challenges

In winter, large volumes of gas heat the fresh air; heating energy exceeds 35% of drying OPEX, and the heat emission pollutes the surroundings.

Solution

Install on the exhaust side of the drying room:Rotary Heat Exchanger, recovering exhaust sensible heat to preheat the fresh air entering the drying tower and forming an energy loop.

Results

Fresh air preheated to 60–70℃; gas consumption reduced by 30%, with a payback period of under 2 years based on local energy prices.
