  2. Working cycle: The rotary heat recovery system operates based on a periodic working cycle. The cycle consists of two main stages: the heat absorption stage and the heat release stage. a. Heat absorption stage: In the heat absorption stage, the channels in the rotary wheel are exposed to a high-temperature waste heat source, such as furnace flue gas or high-temperature exhaust gas. The waste heat is transferred to the channel wall in the rotary heat exchanger by heat conduction and convection, and transfers heat to the medium in the channel. The medium can be air, water vapor or other fluids that need to be heated. b. Heat release stage: In the heat release stage, the rotary wheel is rotated to the position of the medium that needs to be heated. The flow of the medium passes through the channels in contact with the rotary wheel, thereby transferring heat to the medium. At the same time, the waste heat is transferred from the heat source area to the cooling area by the rotary wheel. The medium is heated during the heat absorption process, while the waste heat on the rotary wheel is cooled, realizing the transfer and recovery of heat.
  3. Wheel operation: The wheel switches between the heat absorption and heat release phases by rotating. The speed and period of rotation can be adjusted as needed. The rotation of the wheel can be driven by an electric motor, wind or other power sources.
  4. Medium flow: The medium in the rotary heat recovery system usually adopts an alternating flow method. In the heat absorption stage, the medium enters the rotor from the heat source and absorbs heat by contacting the channel wall. In the heat release stage, the medium flows through the channel of the rotor and transfers heat to the medium that needs to be heated, while the waste heat is cooled and discharged from the system.
